The Umbrella Academy
The Umbrella Academy Overview
The Umbrella Academy is the story of an exceptional group of children that were born under strange circumstances on the same day in October 1989. Forty-three infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven are adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves, a billionaire industrialist, who creates The Umbrella Academy and prepares his "children" to save the world. Those children included Number Five (Aidan Gallagher), Vanya Hargreeves (Elliot Page) Klaus Hargreeves (Robert Sheehan) Luther Hargreeves (Tom Hopper) Allison Hargreeves (Emmy Raver-Lampman), and Diego Hargreeves (David Castañeda). Because Hargreeves is a ruthless taskmaster who cares only about results, these seven children grow up to be dysfunctional, psychologically damaged heroes. Not everything went according to Hargreeves’ plan, though. In their teenage years, the family fractured and the team disbanded. Now almost thirty years old, the six surviving members reunite upon the news of Hargreeves' passing. They have to work together to solve the mysterious death of their father while facing many difficulties, exacerbated by their different personalities and special abilities. On top of this, they must face the threat of the apocalypse. Between the fantastic stories and great soundtrack, the Umbrella Academy has wrapped a sky-high Attention Index of 215.2, followed by a strong 110.4 in Duration Index. The show scores a 57% Co-viewing rate.
