The Legend of Korra Overview

The Legend of Korra is an American animated television series that was created by Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino. The series is a sequel from Avatar: The Last Airbender and is set in a fictional universe in which a select group of people can "bend" or control the elements of water, earth, fire, or air. The Avatar is responsible for keeping the world in balance, and this responsibility comes with the one-of-a-kind ability to bend all four elements. The series follows the new Avatar, Korra (voiced by Janet Varney), as she copes with the challenges of a modernizing world. Korra is a young teenage girl from the Southern Water Tribe and is the reincarnation of the previous Avatar, Aang, from the original series.
